Car starts fine when cold. After driving and warm up restarting is very difficult. Engine spins but does not start for 5 - 10 seconds. One or two pumps of accelerator produces exterior gasoline smell but seems to help restart. Thank You.

Pumping the accelerator on an injected vehicle does nothing but open the throttle plate. If you are smelling raw fuel, check for a leaking fuel pressure regulator by removing the source vacuum line at the regulator. if there is raw fuel, it needs replaced. It would contribute to your hard start by adding excess liquid fuel into the intake system through the vacuum line.
