Electrical problem
1996 Cadillac SLS V8 Front Wheel Drive 57166 miles

Turn signals operate sporadically. Sometimes they work fine, and other times not at all. There seems to be no pattern, i. e., no relationship to time driven, temperature, etc.

Does this happen on one side, or both sides?

Yes, it happens on both sides. When the turn signal does not work, it does not work on either side.

Check and see if the hazard flashers work when the turn signals don't. I would suspect a flasher for the turn signals, it is under the dash near the steering column.
