I had work done two weeks ago on my brakes iThe work included nstalling pads/turn rotors/and caliper rebuild). After driving for severals days the grinding sound came back, it does happen all the time. When I took it back the mechanic he said I had an oil leak and this was what was causing the brakes to grind. I have a 3 year/36,000 mile parts and labor warranty.

My question to you, can an oil leak cause brakes to grind?

thanks,

Concerned in Cola.

Oil leak causing brakes to grind is a bit far fetched, unless it can be proven. Oil on the brakes would cause braking issues, more than grinding.
