my 2000 sts would stall almost everytime i drove it once. it would start back up instantly and not stall again. i thought it was the fuel pump failing. i drove the car dry of gas cause my fuel gauge didnt work properly and i put more gas in and ever since the fuel pump would not turn on. i put a new fuel pump in and it still will not power on. i checked the relay and it was working. any suggestions as to what can be causing the fuel pump to not turn on???

Try changing the Temperature sensor.

[quote:036b2d46e6="rocky16"]I have a 1996 ford escort LX 1.9 thats overheating. The fan doesn't seem to be coming on and the coolant light comes on also. I've replaced the thermostat but no luck. Could the water pump be out with no visible signs and would that effect the fan or do I have 2 different problems?[/quote:036b2d46e6]

If its not the temperature sensor-try checking all 3 relays-cooling fan power relay,High, and low speed relay-aint it could be the PCM not activating the relay.

Hot wire the fan motor, if it comes On go to the relays one by one.
