i have a 2000 caddy sls with 78k. it ran fine until one day it started running like on 5 cylinders. not a miss, more like no power. you get a fuel smell and alot of smoke out of the tailpipe. scanner says missfire on almost all the cylinders. also once in awhile it pops through the intake, like a bad wire would do. any ideas?

Have the fuel system pressure tested, Sounds like too much fuel, Maye a return is clogged, or the pressure regulator is bad. Try pulling the vacuum hose off the regulator, see if it's got any gas in it. If yes replace it...When was your last tune up? Filters?

needs new coil packs, both banks, take the 4 screws on top the valve covers( two on each ) and pop out the packs, should come with new spark plug boots, buy them if not, ck for water in the spark plug tubes
