Now that is getting cold, i notice that my heat (set @85 Deg.) stays hot for about 30-40 mins then i get a cold blast of air as if the air conditioner automatically comes on. The only way that i can get heat back is to turn my temp guage to 90 Deg,, then it gets too hot. What's the problem?

Ok thunder,
I’m going to jump in head first here.
But be advised that I *HATE* auto temp systems.
I refuse to make a customer spend $500 on a new heater control head because I "think" that is the problem.

A dedicated customer that I've had for 10 years came to me with a 96 nissan max with auto heater problems just this week.
I told him I wouldn't work on it.

After 4 hours at the Nissan dealership at $95 an hour, it turned out just being low on coolant.

Now knowing that these systems can be difficult to diagnose, do you want to keep going?
