When your computer tells you that a code has been set for a particular sensor, that DOES NOT mean that sensor is bad.

What it means is there's an underlying cause making that sensor report "out of range" data to the computer.

The O2 sensors tell the computer how much oxygen is in the exhaust, so that the computer can adjust fuel deliver and sometimes ignition timing to the engine.

The computer can also detect something wrong with the wiring to and from the sensor.

So your problem can be that your engine's fuel system is running lean or rich for some reason. It can also be misfiring, which would dump raw fuel into the tail pipe and make the sensor report a rich condition. And finally, the wires/connectors to the sensor can be loose, broken or corroded.
