I need to know where to get a free schematic of where and how to replace the egr valve on my 95 seville sts. have changed plugs, wires and fuel filter and is still running rough. I have been told by more than one by stander that it was egr valve by how it sounded. I thought it was one to begin with but thought it would be cheaper to start with the plugs, wires and fuel filter. It needed it anyway. And would it be ok to just clean the egr valve? or should i go ahead and just replace it. This car has been nickle and diming me to death for about 2 years now and this part is not cheap.

unplug the valve and tap on it with a hammer and see if that fixes the idle problem. with it unplugged and tapping on it should seat the needle in the valve and determine if that is your problem.

do you have a ck engine light on? a miss will set the light on, the EGR wil set a light on if the pinical isnt down, it may just need a good blowing out of carbon
