2002 Other Cadillac Models throttle contro? or fuel pump ?

Escalde starts but only runs for a few seconds and shut off. I have change the fuel filter what else could cause problem ?

will it fire right back up after it dies off?

will it not die if you keep giving it shots of starting fluid directly into the throttle body?
