I am considering putting a 1973 caddy 472ci engine into a monte carlo. are any chevy big block parts compatible or are 472 parts readily available if needed, like heads, stroker kits etc.

I would have to say no on the chevy big block parts being compatible, and I doubt there are any performance parts for it either. I don't know for sure, but I can be almost certain.
