1988 Cadillac Fleetwood 73565 (mileage has turned over), V8 engine.

The A/C was working fine. Mechanic cleaned the engine and now the Amber looking "Check A/C" light comes on and when I push AUTO, the system automatically goes to the ECON mode. No cool air is blowing. What should I do?

The donation I made was equal to the amount it would cost me to get the manual from Mitchell. Hopefully you guys can tell me exactly what I need to know so that I won't have to purchase the manual. Thanks for your help and for having this forum.

first:
How the engine was cleaned?
(degreaser... Pressure washer....Rags...)
Just to Know if something got wet..

Then check your belt (If its loose and some liquid came in contact with probably its slipping)

The A/C requires a lot of "torque" to function properly.

Might also want to be sure no water got into the low side cycling switch connector or the high side pressure switch connectors (2)
