2004 Escalade ESV

Heater takes longtime to warm up, then intermittently goes between hot and cold. Never stays hot. The blower works great, but blows cold air...

The coolant level is fine.

The primary check would be to determine if the thermostat is letting the engine get to full operating temperature. The upper hose should get hot, only allowing your hand to be placed on it a minute or two. If it is comfortably warm, it is not getting hot enough.
