do i have to remove the distributor to remove the intake and also are there bolts under the pan beneath the throtlle body cover thanks Steve

Yes the distributor must be removed i always remove the cap and mark the location of the rotor to make it easier when reinstalling. There are no bolts under the throttle body that hold the intake to the block.
