Electrical problem
1999 Cadillac Escalade V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

Is there a common problem with the 1999 Cadillac Escalades and their rear defrosters? I have one that when I connect the (standing at the rear, facing the rear of the vehicle) right connector it creates a direct short and blows my fuse which also controls the cigarette lighter, the electric latch for the release of the rear window and etc.... Can someone point me in the right direction for getting this fixed?

Thanks in advance.

have a pro check this, it may have a bare wire hitting someplace and still be able to fix it. If not you'll have to replace the rear window which isn't cheap..
