I have a 1999 Cadilac ElDorado - It seem that the head gasket is gone. One of the cilinders are wet, and i'm loosing coolent. I added water to the raditor, and now it's overheating when i travel a long distance.
I would like to know what is the estimate cost to fix
the engine. I take good care of my cars, and don't understand why this happen.

Is the Cadalic people responsible of a poor product, and should they help with this problem?

It has 113,000 miles, and the value is about $3,000.
I don't know what I should do.

the headbolts have pulled out of the block they will need to be helicoiled, you have overheated it too much, you also need to pressure test the system to see if you have anymore leaks, usually they dont leak into the cylinders they just overheat when driven or standing still, i would say you have other leaks as well

your looking at 2-4 k to repair if thats the prob
