What is the simplest way to remove the front pump seal in the tranmision

You don't necessarily have what is called a front pump seal on a 4T80E, you have a converter hub seal. The only way to replace it is with the transmission removed and converter off. You will either need a seal removal tool, or a flat chisel and hammer will work. Be aware that the case can also crack in this area and cause a leak.
