1997 Cadillac El Dorado Oil Pressure

When I drive for about 10-15 minutes the digital dash tells me STOP ENGINE-LOW OIL PRESSURE. Is this just the oil pump and if so how much is a reasonable price for repair. Thank you.

Hi there,

Before you spend any serious money, get the oil pressure tested with a master gauge, this will give you a true indication as to engine oil pressure, you may just have a faulty gauge or sender unit.
