1997 Cadillac El Dorado V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic

my instument cluster is bad and the cadillac dealership said it cant be fixed. what should i do? i know it can be fixed somehow.

It should be able to be sent out and repaired, or exchanged for a rebuilt unit. What makes it bad, lights out, gauges inoperative?
