All of the guages have been bouncing quickly from low to high, including speedometer, gas guage, temp, etc. Now the car will not start despite replacing the battery. What needs to be replaced, and what is the approximate cost of parts and labor?

You either have a bad battery, bad cables, or a bad ground. Was the old battery leaking, or has any battery leaked in the history of the vehicle, it could have damaged cables. Do you have a voltmeter?

That's what I thought at first too, bad battery. But after replacing the battery, the car started fine for about a month. The guages however continued to bounce quickly from low to high. And then the car began to start "slowly", and now won't start at all.

Can it jump start, and after such, does it run and die then has no battery power? Could be a charging system issue.
