Electrical problem
1993 Cadillac El Dorado V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I was attempting to start car on a cold morning. I had to restart several times and I some how triggered the anti theft system. Now, when I attempt to start the car, the dash reads, " Anti theft disabled starting, take key out of ignition." I take key out of ignition, then the dash reads, "wait three minutes then start". I wait three minutes, the dash then reads, "start car", when I go to start the car, the starter doesn't activate and the dash reads the same message. I disconnected the battery (ground), then reconnected and still have the same problem. Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Most likely the problem is in the ignition cylinder, there are 2 tiny wires that read the code from the key and they always break. To bypass it you can use a ohm meter and reqad resistance across the pellet in the key then go to radio shack and get the same size resister and install it across the tiny wires at the base of the steering column. Does this sound like something you can handle?
