Electrical problem V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 300 miles

I know the car battery is located under the rear seat; however, I am unable to left, remove, the rear seat. I have push down and towards the rear while trying to rotate up. No luck. My dealer said just pull straight up but that did not work. Any suggestions?

It should be relatively straight forward, sometimes it requires some force to lift the seat. If you still can't release it with just pulling/jerking up.
