2003 Cadillac DTS Two Wheel Drive Automatic 90000 miles

A minor pot hole packs a wallop to the driver side front tire area - feels like it bottoms out on that side. Feel like it's a shock / strut issue, but would like to ask the experts

A visual inspection of that side for leaking strut, as well as jounce and rebound of all four corners may identify a shock concern. If one corner tends to bounce a more than another may be an indication.
