low oil pressure light came on after car sat for two weeks. mechanic blew oil threw system, thinks screen in oil pan is clogged or oil pump is bad. says engine needs to be pulled to fix?

So what is your question??? Are you saying you don't trust the word of your mechanic???

If so, you should go get a second opinion. There's no way I could test your engine myself, but a "Low oil light" needs to be verified with a oil pressure gauge.

If the oil pressure is low, then there's either something clogging the system, the pump is blocked, or the pump is bad.
