I have an '89 Sedan Deville with the 4.5 L w/ around 167,000 miles on it.I just tuned it up mid june and it has ran great. Better than when I bought it a year and a half ago. Now that it has gotten colder here in indiana the car wont start. Well it will on warmer days but if the temp. Drops overnight the car wont start the next day. After I finally get it started it will run fine all day long till it sits overnight and gets cold again. Any ideas?

I meant to tell you that no codes are present except the one for ECM memory reset. The previous owner told me he had the computer replaced.I have replaced the ECT sensor because it wasnt quite showing the right resistance for the temp.

It could be a number of things but first i'd check condition of spark plugs, rotor asnd dist cap, wires also if that checks out then you need to gert in to the sensers and do some checking, coolant temp senser for one (not temp gauge sending unit) also check mass air flow valve some have a temp senser in it to measure air temp, idle air control valve could be problem as well check cranking voltage also and amperage draw on starter could be cause as well starter could be robbing voltage from igniton system so engine will not start. Hope some of these ides help some
