Might be the belt or a bearing on an accessory.Does the noise come from under the hood?

it seems to be comming from under the hood on the drivers side, it sounds kind of like an electric motor.

Will it make the noise if the engine is revved? or does it have to be in gear and moving?

Pop the hood and see if you can pinpoint where it is coming from

Never heard back. The trans is on that side of the car. Might want to try a service, could be a pump whining
