2001 Cadillac Deville radio and amp

someone tore out the old amp by cutting the old wires and the radio was trashed bought a stock radio and replacement amp and wired them in now the radio switches off about as fast as I turn it on.Not sure where to start trouble shooting now any help or advise would surely be appreiciated.

did you get a wiring diagram before wiring the new ones up? you may also want to call the dealer and see if you need a code for the radio to work, there should be a serial # on it and some other ones, write them all down and then call. the theft sys may need to be reprogramed for the new radio
