Using the onboard diagnostic system, I get the code C1235 in the ABS system.
Would this code indicate that a sensor needs replacing and if so, how big a job is it?

This is Right Rear Speed sensor. That is passenger side. You can do this as you will replace the whole hub assemble in order to replace the sensor. If you can remove the wheel the caliper and the rotor then you are most of the way there. Here is what you replace.

In researching my problem, I''ve read in 2 different forums that the whole wheel bearing hub assembly ($112.79 ) has to be replaced. In another I've read that the sensor itself can be replaced and is available from RockAuto (AIRTEX Part # 5S4644 - $34.79). Can someone tell me definitively which is correct. Could this just be a bad connection?

It is a hub assembly replacement and yes it could be a bad connection but not likely. Thanks
