2000 Cadillac Deville oil level

Takes a minium of 7 1/2 quarts of oil to fill. Typically is 2 quarts low when it drops off of stick.

when you drain it and fill it it holds 8 qts with the oil filter. If lite is still on change the oil level sensor its down by the crank sensors, by the frt motor mount

I did not no it took 8 quarts, I had only put 5 in ,duh.

I put in the 8 quarts and the light is still coming on , is changing the senser a hard job ?

no, 1, 10 mm bolt, the sensor is about 4 inches long, the crank sensors are together, to the right of them is the oil sensor
