I had the cv boots replaced at a sears store.

a day later I saw ,what appeared to be transmission oil on the ground.

I took it to the Cadillac dealer and they said it was a power steering leak. It was further decided it was the rack and pinion seal that was bad. they replaced the rack and pinion.

However they said they found that the trans was leaking badly because of a problem when the CC boots were changed a seal on the axle was damaged by Sears

Sears is replacing the axle. dose this all sound right?

Hi:
What color was the fluid on the ground? If it was red, it was from the trans and not PS.

As far as the axle, yes when the new axle is placed into the trans, it is very easy to knick the seal which results in a leak. Make sure they replace the axle seal too otherwise the problem will continue.

Let me know if you have other questions.
