Out cadillac finally needed a complete brake job, with new pads and rotors all around. When we got the car back after completing the repairs/brake job. The Traction Control and Antilock ABS warning lights stay on? Is this a computer issue? Does the computer system have to be re-set, to acknowledge the new parts? Or is this some other issue? I trust my mechanic, but he can't seem to find the problem.
Could it be a damaged part or sensor?

If your mechanic can't figure it out, it's time for a new mechanic! Scan tools are available to read the trouble code(s). This will tell you what the problem is. When these lights come on after a brake job, it's possible some sludge got pushed up into the ABS system, or a speed sensor got damaged, but code reading is the first step.
