Steering problem
1998 Cadillac Deville V8 Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 88724 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
My car is only turning with ease in one direction only. I just had an oil change and added engine coolant but the sensors read that I need an oil change and to add engine coolant. Then it overheats soon after turning on the ignition. I also just had the pump replaced. Is it the rack & pinion or something more serious?

Thank you for your donation.

I feel that the steering problem is in the valving of the rack, if it was the pump there would be an issue both directions. Check the usual items for over heating, thermostat , coolant loss, faulty radiator cap, blocked radiator. Clear any codes and check indicators and if they come back on check sensors if items are not an issue.
