Electrical problem
1998 Cadillac Deville V8 Front Wheel Drive
The starter quick working rather suddenly with no typical indications of a problem. The only problem leading up to this, was it would not start one day and then not start the next time then wait a day maybe and it would start. It has not offered to start anymore. It has a new battery installed. This starter is located under the intake manifold and will be quite a job to replace. I am wondering if there is a starter relay or some test points that will verify if it is the starter itself or not. There is an indication in a Haynes manual that there is a starter relay, but I can't find it and this manual doesn't help a lot.
