hi,

my electric trunk will not close all the way. im guessing that its the motor. can you tell me what it probably is?

ps vallet parking is not on.

If the pull down actuator(striker) is all the way extended, i.e. not pulling down, it is most likely the pull down switch. One thing that contributes to switch failure is water in the trunk from a leak, but that is not always the case. The switch is serviceable, it is the wide black paddle on the pull down actuator. It may be discontinued from GM, I know older ones are, but I believe it is the same switch.
