I changed the trans fluid and now the trans consumes fluid about 4 quarts in 500 miles, It is not leaking out..
Also the speedometer now does not work... I have not reopened the trans.. I think maybe the speedometer pick up is in the trans pan and I disconnected the connector somehow..
Sometimes the trans will not shift from 1st gear... I shut off the engine and let it sit for 5 minutes or so and I come back and start and go and it shifts through all gears. If it shifts out of 1st gear it will go through all gears...

Thank you

The fluid must either be leaking or entering the cooling system. No vacuum modulator on this to bur it off in the engine. Open the radiator when cool, look at the coolant, is it thick and strawberry colored? If not, inspect the undercarriage of the car for signs of fluid, it may only leak while driving... but some trace amount of fluid will be streaming towards the back of the car.
