Computer problem
1996 Cadillac Deville V8 Automatic 190000 miles

I have to unhook the engine battery everytime I don't drive the car for more than 8 hours or else the battery dies & I have to get a jump to start it. I need to get my car smogged but I know it won't pass the test if the computer has recently been reset by my unhooking the battery. I am wondering if you know how long the computer needs to run in order to pass smog.

Hi:
In PA, aprox 150 miles. As far as the battery problem, have the alt checked for a bad diode. It will drain the battery overnight it bad.
