If you have replaced front brake pads and have bleed the brake lines, what would cause the brake pedal ease down to the floor when you have stopped. But, while driving the brakes will hold if you need to slow down. I would greatly appreicate an answer.
Thank you, Judy

While you are sitting at a stop, if you pump the pedal, does it eventually rise and get more firm? If so, there is still air in the lines. If brake pads were replaced, why was the hydraulic system opened up, and to what extent?

Your answer was correct. We bled the brake lines a short time ago and the pedal was firm and it did not go to the floor. I feel a lot safer driving my car now! So, I want to say "THANK YOU" for your expert advice. Judy
