I change out the EGR Valve because I failed my emissions test. Now my car will not start. The question is if the auto parts store gave me the wrong EGR valve could that cause my problems?

where did you get the parts at? did you get a new gasket and clean off the old one a vaccum leak there could cause it not to start

scan your codes, off and warmer at the same time on the heater controls, the key in the on position

Sorry about the delay getting back to you. I bought the part at Advanced Auto. It had a gasket kit with it. I checked on the vacumm hookups around the area of the EGR valve, and they are all connected.

You said something about checking my codes do you mean with a computer scanner?
