Brakes problem
1990 Cadillac Deville V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I can not release the parking beake automatically. I have to release it manually by releasing the lever. Can you tell me why it does not release when I take the car out of park. I have allready replaced the brake release switch and it still does not work. Please help!!
Thank You

Are you talking about the brake release switch on the column? There is a vacuum actuator on the park brake pedal assembly, verify it is getting a vacuum signal when the shift lever is moved from park. If it is, replace the vacuum actuator.
