The air diverter valve has failed. There are no moving parts in the valve that I can tell. Is there some mechanic that is familiar with the operation of the valve and is there a possible way to clean it to make it operable again?

I would like to hear from some one who has had some experience with this problem.

I have been quoted around $500 for a new one but I would rather find a fix if possible.

The diverter valve has a vacuum diaphram in it, that is how it shuts down the flow of air.$500 is a littlel steep, found one on E-Bay for $38 + $6 shipping
