I just bought this 1965 Cadillac Coupe Deville and the owner says that the car has been sitting for at least 4 years, I changed the oil about 2 weeks ago, and today when i checked it it was dirty, this car is solid and clean but the only thing is that it burns oil and doesnt perform right.

Hi there,

Often when older engines are left to sit for extended period of time, the piston rings can fatigue and loose tension, also engine oil seals will dry out and start to fail. (valve stem oil seals) often do this. I feel that your engine is very tired and in need of some serious work. Get it checked by a mechanic first as it will really need to be viewed first hand to advise accurately.
