I blew my 2005 cadillac CTS-V's engine, it had a 5.7 v8, does a 2007 cts-v's 6.0 v8 fit into the 2005 one?

I would imagine that it would fit, the question is of changes with electronics and architecture. I would recommend a direct replacement to minimize complications.
