2004 Cadillac CTS Trunk wont releae

hi my trunk does not want to open with the ibutton on the door or with the key. checked the fuse and celinoid, both work fine. checked the lock, it works too. what can it be?

If you checked everything, and it all works, what dont work. If the solenoid works, and the lock works, the trunk should open. Is it just the fact the struts don't lift the lid?
