2003 Cadillac CTS 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

How do you replace an oil cooler on the 03 cts? Is there a way to make sure that it's bad and not the head gasket?

The oil cooler is in the valley, under the upper and lower intakes. About the only way I would know of testing, is to block one side, and apply compressed air to the other with it submerged in water, and check for bubbles.
