Fuel pump is in tank on upper right side. Remove hoses and electrical connectors. Then using Fuel Tank Sender wrench J-45747 remove.

There is no transition pump, it transfers from side to side by siphon. Did the pump quit, or are you running out of gas when gauge still reads 1/8 to 1/4 tank? There is what is called a jet pump on the rh primary module, and a siphon tube that runs from the left sender to the rh primary. This tube was upgraded, and is recommended if gauge error is the complaint.
