This is a long shot, just wondering if you ever solved this and how? I have an '03 with the same issue, happened after a battery replacement, but I also left drivers window open and it rained really hard. Doh!!
Thinking it's the drivers door control module, but looking for any advice I can get.
Thanks.

you have blown fuses check engine, interior or the trunk panels.also check the relay panel under the r/side dash for a bad fuse.

Thanks Cadieman,
I checked and replaced all the fuses labelled as anything to do with the drivers door already, I know that's not the cause.
Was hoping to hear how city28212 fixed his issue.
The drivers door lock will work with the key fob or pass door power switch, but none of the buttons on the actuall driver's door will do anything. The trunk release button is totally seperate from the power window buttons, and the power door lock button is again seperate from the those 2, so I'm thinking it's the control module they all link into.
I might try pulling the door panels and swapping pass and drivers modules if posible.

you need to check the voltage on orange and orange/black wires.voltage on the pink wire with key on.we cant do anything utill you check the voltage.each switch has a power wire.possable a l/f door lock actuator.take the upper door panel lose and spray silicone on the actator.see if it starts locking and unlock.check at the trunk release selinoid gets power when you push the button.poss. a bad selinoid.

The lighting in the buttons is a different system than the control switches. What is the issue you have and what vehicle?
