How do I check timing after tune up new plugs and wire in place, Seem like I have a small miss at idle

Timing is a thing of the past, all computer controlled now. Most misfires of any magnitude will turn the check engine light on, otherwise you would need a scan tool to read data see what the fuel trim values are doing, for an indication of a problem.
