can i run car without thermostat. the temp. stays on mormal but sometimes gos to hot for a min. or two then back to normal. i but a new thermostat but have same problem i changed water pump& belt too. hoses are good...

it is probably high for a min or two because that is right before the fan kicks on. i dont think you have anything to worry about by the sounds of it.
