1999 Cadillac Concours V8 Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 13500 miles

i been getting a message of battery not charging i had a factory alternator and new battery put on back in May but something is causing this message to come on and running my battery down could you please help me solve this problem.

push the button to the charge screen see if it is charging, or hook up a meter, if its not, you need a new alt
