were to find the modulator at for transmission?

If it is a Northstar powertrain, it dont have a vacuum modulator. A 4.9l/4t60 it is visible down below the air filter housing, front of transmission bellhousing.

we have serviced the transmission changeing the flouids and filters and the service transmission lite keeps coming on. we unplugged the battery to reset the computer and it still comes on and the emission lite comes on too we put a gas filter in also for that too....it drives fine to me but i dont like the lites coming on that still tells me something is wrong and my husban works on it and it still does the same. thanks for any in put u can help us with i hate to have to take it to a garage and cost me afortune...thanks pam

More than likely, it is letting you know there is a problem. It may not be readily noticeable by driving. With that message, it will have set a code in the ECM. This would direct you in a diagnostic path. If I had to take a guess, with no complaint of hard/firm shifts, it is an input speed or torque converter related fault. Both are relatively spendy repairs, requiring some degree of transmission disassembly.

thanks will look into that...what about the emission light that keeps coming on...harv put a gas filter in and it still comes on?
