1987 Cadillac Cimarron Fuel pressure level

1987 Cadillac Cimarron 6 cyl Automatic

I need to know what level my fuel pressure needs to be? We tested it after i stopped the car and it would hold at 38 and after several seconds & minutes it would start to go down. I just need to know if it should be any higher. My car keeps stalling (multiple times) on me. We replaced the fuel filter but that didn't seem to help.

for the injectors to work properly you should have a steady 40 p.s.i. with the fuel pump running. after a stop that may be ok, but it should be at least 40 but 45 p.s.i. preferably. Also clean your throttle plate on both sides with choke cleaner, those gunk up alot and cause idle problems.
